El director italiano Franco Zeffirelli se fijó en Olivia cuando interpretaba en Londres la obra The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, junto a Vanessa Redgrave. Superando a otras 500 aspirantes, Olivia consiguió el papel de Julieta para la película Romeo y Julieta, de Zefirelli, junto a Leonard Whiting como Romeo. Esta interpretación le reportaría el Premio David de Donatello a la mejor actriz en 1969.

Germany scored four goals for the third time at this World Cup, as they thrashed Argentina 4-0 in the quarter-finals.

After a poor qualification campaign, Argentina had lit up these finals with some exciting attacking play. However, they failed to make the most of their chances and their defence couldn't cope with the pace and quality of Germany's attacking players.
